TBC's Church Vision Statement:
“Moving From Fellowship to Discipleship”
At Timothy, we are making Disciples of Christ. We purpose to follow the model and mandate of Christ. In Matthew 28:19, Jesus says, “Go ye therefore into all nations, teaching them to observe whatsoever I have commanded you….”
We have a three pronged approach to ministry:
• Worship
• Service
• Evangelism
Our Mission
• Making Christ central in our Worship , • Making the Community central in our Witness
• Making His commission central in our Walk
Matthew 16:24 serves as the impetus for our theological understanding of what it means to be a disciple of Christ. According to Matthew 16:24, Jesus said, “If any man would come after Me, let him:
• Deny himself
• Take up his cross
• Follow Me
Our logo is a symbolism of Timothy’s call to service.
The Outstretched Hand is the extension of our hand to the church and community that we are called to make disciples (Matthew 28:19-20). The Towel is the symbol of humility of which we are called to serve (John 13:14-15). The Cross is a picture of suffering and death that we will bare as we follow Christ (I Peter 4:12-13).
